# Organization structured data

> Organization markup on a home page can help Google understand an organization's administrative details and disambiguate it in search results. Some properties can influence the logo shown and the knowledge panel, and none are required. Google recommends the home page or one "about" page, using the most specific Organization subtype.

## What it does

> **Officially documented:**
> "Adding organization structured data to your home page can help Google better understand your organization's administrative details and disambiguate your organization in search results." Some properties, like iso6523 and naics, work behind the scenes to tell your organization apart from others. Others can influence visual elements, such as which logo appears in Search results and your knowledge panel.

There are no required properties. Google recommends adding as many relevant ones as apply.

## For AI search

Google says no special markup is needed for its AI features ([Structured data and AI search](https://geo.casa/content-structured-data/structured-data-ai-search/)). Organization markup's documented benefits are disambiguation and visual elements in Search. Whether it changes AI citations is not documented.
